Here at Teller Ave, we are so excited to begin our summer of 2019! We love playing out in the sunshine and creating some fun summer artwork for our families to enjoy. Even though summer is upon us, there is still learning to be had. Here are some photos of some of our fun interactive activities:

Elephants class – The children were making fireworks, coffee filter butterflies, and masher crabs! These were great activities to strengthen their fine motor skills while exploring colors, shapes, textures, and to recognize one thing from another.

Zebras class – The children made caterpillars using toilet paper rolls, fingerprints to make dandelions, and cut out shapes to make mermaid tails! This was a fun and colorful way to learn shapes, patterns, colors, and sensory exploration!

Tigers class – The infants using their tiny feet made Independence Day flags! It was a fun way for them to explore colors and have one foot firmly into the month of July!

Giraffes class – The children are learning about the number 2, hand-eye coordination, as well as strengthening fine motor and cognitive skills while also identifying the colors of the rainbow.

Lions class – The children were using their scientific skills to look at the different bugs and insects that we see during the season of summer! This was a great way for them to explore inquiry and use critical thinking skills.

Jaguars class – The children learned about letter recognition while also refining their small muscle skills as they began writing their first names. It was a great way for them to identify letters in their names as well as get a head start on literacy skills!

Cheetahs class – These newly minted graduates are swinging high in the sunshine! Enjoying some fresh air and the first days of summer vacation before Kindergarten!
