We transformed our dramatic area into an urgent care unit so that the children could learn about the names and functions of different body parts. In addition, the pandas learned how their bodies functioned with the addition of exercise into their daily routines. Mulan led the activity as she played the role of a doctor; the other students took turns acting out various scenarios as patients. Mulan diagnosed their ailments, prescribed medication, and even suggested moderate exercise. To extend the activity, the children used wooden blocks to build an urgent care center.
