The learning theme for May centered around the study of trees. Our pandas gained useful knowledge about the characteristics of trees, the type of animals that live in trees, and the different types of food which come from trees. Our Panda moms were invited to class to help with painting and or designing their tree. It was nice to observe the shared spirit of teamwork, creativity, and overall happiness. Both moms and children were fully engaged as they picked seeds and planted them into the soil. Similarly, other children chose to create their trees using classroom supplies. Some of the creations included a blueberry tree, pine tree, and banana tree.
