This week we studied community helpers. Community helpers were displayed through activities like our fire fighter hats and police hats. The children had so much fun pasting and gluing pieces together. To reinforce community helpers in the classroom, we read the book “Whose Working Hands Are These?” This was a community helper guessing book. We also sent home a resource sheet of different community helpers for the parents and the children review. We looked for community helpers on our walks to the park. We could identify the mail man and the school bus driver. They children had a wonderful experience identifying community helpers!
