This month, the monkeys are learning about Dinosaurs!! To make learning fun the monkeys went on a adventure to the Bronx Zoo on Wednesday September 3rd!!! Although we weren’t able to see the dinosaur exhibit, take a look at all of the other cool exhibits we saw.

Last Friday the Elephant room took a trip to the park. Look at all the fun we had!!
The theme this week, was “Rocket ship to the Moon!” We used various activities to introduce the children to space exploration. The pictures above, show the children creating a picture of a rocket ship. In this arts and crafts activity, the children were able to learn about shapes, colors and parts of a rocket.
This month the Zebras learned about Outer Space! We made rocket ships, read stories about astronauts, and we even took a look at some stars. This month the giraffe room is learning about all things ‘Outer Space’ We talked about rocket ships, astronauts, and our solar system. Last week we talked about the sun, the moon, and all the different planets. The students were so excited to create and paint their very own planets.
This month our little elephants learned about planets and the solar system, while having fun with sticky glue and sparkly glitter! By pasting the planets cutouts in their solar system they work hard on refining their fine motor skills as well as their cognitive skills.
This week in the dragonfly class the students explored the zoo and the various animals you can see when visiting. The children learned to identify different animals, what they eat , color, and size. The students also did creative arts and craft activities, making tiger faces and silly monkeys
